Police Ladies book semi-final spot after win over ASKO in Champions League qualifiers

Ghana’s Police Ladies Football Club has qualified for the semi-finals of the WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers after a 3-1 win over Togolese side ASKO in the final Group game on Saturday.
Police Ladies lost their first Group game against Bayelsa Queens of Nigeria before recording their first victory, a 3-1 win over Sam Nelly in the Ivory Coast.
In the final Group B game against ASKO, Deborah Afriyie and Sophia scored two quick goals for Police Ladies Football Club to put the game beyond reach for their opponents. The opponents pulled one back through a penalty kick just minutes before the first Half whistle.
Deborah Afryie scored her second goal of the day and the third for Police Ladies Football Club as they recorded their second victory of the competition and subsequently progressed to the semi-finals of the competition.
Police Ladies are expected to face Asec in the semi-finals of the competition for a place in the final.
