Chairman Wontumi released by EOCO

Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi has been released from the custody of the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) on Monday night.
The Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman was then picked up by EOCO on Thursday, May 29 and has spent five days at the EOCO headquarters for various reasons such as Money laundering, Bribery and Corruption acts, fraud and causing financial loss to the state.
Chairman Wontumi after a series of investigations was granted a bail of GH¢50 million which he was able to meet on Monday. The suspect even though released is expected to help with the investigation at home as EOCO is closely working with some international crime Organizations.
