Barcelona to complete deal with Thomas Partey
Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey has announced that he will be leaving Arsenal after his contract expires in June. The 32-year-old has been linked with several clubs, but his next destination has yet to be confirmed.
According to reports by Fichajes, Spanish giants Barcelona have inquired about the possibility of signing Thomas Partey ahead of the 2025/26 Season. The club is looking to strengthen its team and win more silverware, in addition to its success last season.
Barcelona Head Coach Hansi Flick is keen on making Thomas Partey the club’s second signing in the transfer window after Joan Garcia with the Nico Williams deal still at hand. The Ghanaian International started his career with Malorca and Almeria in Spain before joining Atlético Madrid.
He then signed a five-year deal for Arsenal in the 2020 Season and is expected to have a new challenge as his contract with the Gunners has expired. Other clubs in the Saudi Pro League are also hoping to complete a deal with the 32-year-old Arsenal midfielder.
