2024/25 MTN FA Cup Champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko has completed the signing of Ghanaian forward Johnson Oppong Owusu who was a free agent after leaving his former club FC Regar-TadAZ.
The 27-year-old previously had spells with Ghanaian clubs like Dreams FC and Inter Allies before moving to Europe to play for Braga U19 and other Clubs like Maritimo B, Trinity Zlin, Camacha, and others before returning to Dreams FC in the 2023/24 Season.
Johnson Oppong Owusu is expected to join the Porcupine Warriors on a three-year deal as his inclusion in the squad will beef up the team ahead of Kotoko’s preparation for next season’s CAF Confederation Cup Competition.
The forward was without a club in the 2024/25 season but Coach Karim Zito believes his special ability can help the team attain glory next season. The official announcement of the player is expected to be confirmed in the coming days.
