After five years of service with English Premier League club Arsenal, midfielder Thomas Teye Partey is expected to leave the club as a free agent at the end of this month.
The Ghanaian penned down a five-year contract with Mikel Arteta’s side in 2020 from Spanish Club Atlético Madrid after spending 6 seasons with the Madrid-based club.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, no transfer agreement has been reached between Thomas Partey and Arsenal hence the Ghanaian has started negotiations with several clubs.
The 32-year-old had an impressive 2024/25 season with the Gunners, leading them to second place in the English Premier League and the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League. Thomas Partey was instrumental for Arsenal this season, playing in 35 league games, scoring four goals and assisting twice.
His exit is expected to create a huge gap in the Arsenal midfield as the Gunners have already lost midfielder Jorginho. Thomas Partey has been chased by several clubs including Juventus and some clubs from the Saudi Pro League.
