Ghana Armed Forces Warns Public

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has firmly cautioned the general public against falling victim to fraudulent recruitment schemes, clarifying that no recruitment or enlistment process is currently underway.In a press release issued on Tuesday, 4th June 2025, the Department of Public Relations of the Ghana Armed Forces, headquartered at Burma Camp, Accra, made it explicitly clear that any advertisement or information suggesting that recruitment is in progress is false and should be completely disregarded.
According to the statement, such misleading information is the work of scammers and fraudsters seeking to exploit unsuspecting individuals. The press release emphasizes that the public should remain alert and vigilant, as the GAF has not authorized any form of enlistment at this time.“The general public is hereby informed that the Ghana Armed Forces is not undertaking any recruitments/enlistments yet. Any such advertisement/information of any form is fake and should be ignored,” the release stated.
The acting Director General of Public Relations, Captain Veronica Adzo Arhin (Ghana Navy), who signed the release, reaffirmed that any future announcements regarding recruitment or enlistment into the armed forces will be made only through official and trusted channels, namely the Daily Graphic and the Ghanaian Times newspapers.
In addition to warning the public, the GAF called on all media houses to support the dissemination of this information to prevent further exploitation of hopeful candidates.
