Black Queens suffer defeat to Ivory Coast in International friendly

The Black Queens of Ghana suffered a 1-0 defeat in their second international friendly game against Ivory Coast on Tuesday night.
The Ghana National Womens team were hoping to bounce back after holding the Ivorian team to a 3-3 draw in their first friendly game.

In today’s game Habibou Ouedrogo scored the only goal of the game for the host team in the 53rd minute. The Black Queens piled pressure on their opponets after concering but all efforts at goal yielded no result.
The team has now ended their friendly games and will shift attention immediately to the Womwa African Cup of Nations encounter scheduled to begin on July 5 in Morocco.
The Black Queens of Ghana have been drawn in Group C alongside Mali, South Africa, and Tanzania. The Queens will play their first game at the tournament against South Africa on July 7 before taking on Mali and Tanzania on July 11 and 14 respectively.
