Black Queens draw against Ivory Coast in friendly game

The Black Queens of Ghana were held to a 3-3 draw against the Les Elephants of Ivory Coast in the first friendly game ahead of the 2025 Women’s African Cup of Nations to be staged in Morroco.
The Ghana Womens National team scores two first half goals through Sherifatu Sumaila and Boye Chantel. Ines Konan scored one for the Ivorians in the 44th minute just before the first Hakf Whistle.
The Ghanaian team came into the second half much stronger as they got their third goal through an own goal scored by Ninan Kpaho. The Les Elephants of Ivory Coast scored in the 65th and 80th minute to make the scoreline 3-3 before the blast of the final whistle.
The second leg of the friendly encounter is expected to come off on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, as both teams prepare for the WAFCON tournament. The Queens are expected to open their WAFCON campaign against South on July 7 2025.
