Otoo Addo names Black Stars squad for Unity Cup games
Head Coach of the Black Stars of Ghana Otoo Addo has announced his 23-man squad for the Unity Cup games in London.
Notable names among Otoo Addo’s squad include Captain Jordan Ayew, Goalkeeper Lawrence Ati Zigi, Benjamin Asare, Abdul Salis Samed, Mohammed Salisu, Majeed Ashmeru and Gideon Mensah.
Some players including Abdul Azziz Isaah of Dreams FC, Calbe Yirenkyi of Nodjeslland, Joseph Tetteh Annang of St Patrick Athletic Football Club have also received their maiden Black Stars call-up.
Surprisingly Felix Afena Gyan if Juventus Next Generation Academy has also received a call-up after a long absence from the Black Stars team. Some home-based players including Kwame Opoku of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Razak Simpson of Nations FC, Mamudu Kamaradini of Medeama Sporting Club and Benjamin Asare of Heart of Oak have also been call-up up for the Unity Cup games.
Notable names like Mohammed Kudus, Thomas Partey, Alexander Djiku, Antoine Semenyo and Inaki Williams are missing from the Black Stars Squad. Ghana is expected to face Nigeria on Wednesday, May 28 2025 in London.
